FLO·W Experience shortlisted at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards
The smart showroom we created with Noken (Porcelanosa Group) is in the running for the Technology Implementation of the Year (Rest of the World) award. The winner will be announced on November 4 in London.
Retail Technology Innovation Hub (RTIH), one of Europe’s leading retail technology publications, has announced the finalists for its 2026 Innovation Awards. This year’s edition has broken records for the number of nominations, spread across 23 categories. Among the selected projects is FLO·W Experience, which we developed together with Noken at its showroom at the Porcelanosa Group headquarters in Vila-real (Castellón).
The Technology Implementation of the Year (Rest of the World)category recognizes technology projects completed in the past year. The jury evaluates three criteria: clear objectives, innovative execution, and demonstrable results. We’re on the list alongside projects from EDEKA, Davines, QSR Brands, Pharma&Go, and TCS, among others.
A Showroom That Responds to Visitors
FLO·W stems from Future Living of Wellness, Noken’s vision for the bathroom of the future. It brings together design, well-being, connected health, and smart devices. The challenge was to translate this vision into a product showroom and ensure the space reacted to its visitors.
We had to integrate screens, sound, lighting, sensors, NFC, automation, water, smart mirrors, and artificial intelligence into a single experience. And we had to do so without letting the technology overshadow the design or the product.
“FLO·W Experience was a very ambitious challenge: to transform the showroom into an immersive experience capable of conveying our vision of the bathroom of the future.” — David Monzón, Noken
What the Visitor Experiences
- A personalized welcome. Each sales representative carries an NFC card. When the visitor holds it close, the space welcomes them and tailors the visit to their profile and language. The different zones are then activated via NFC points, sensors, and physical controls—without menu screens to interrupt the conversation with the customer.
- The mirror as an interface. Behind three “spy” mirrors are 32-inch screens that display the calendar, the weather, sleep quality, heart rate, and water consumption.
- Digital windows and an interactive shower. Two large-format LED screens serve as windows to the outside. In the shower, a transparent LED panel on the glass allows you to select a mode (eco, relax, or energize), which simultaneously changes both the content displayed and the behavior of the water.
- AI and an immersive bathtub. In the dressing room, a 43-inch screen suggests AI-generated looks. In the bathtub, a curved LED screen measuring approximately 2.5 × 2 meters synchronizes content, lighting, and ambiance in cinema, music, or relaxation modes.
Behind the scenes are about ten nsign players and ten display devices. Our CMS platform manages and synchronizes the entire content layer and connects to Loxone, which controls the physical aspects of the space: access, lighting, and water.
“The collaboration with nsign was key to coordinating the space’s audiovisual layer and ensuring that visuals, sound, content, and personalized interaction worked in sync.” — David Monzón, Noken
Let the technology disappear
The challenge with FLO·W isn’t the list of equipment. The challenge is ensuring that visitors don’t even notice it. In each scene, special displays, players, sensors, programming, and home automation controls all work together simultaneously. Anyone walking through the showroom perceives something much simpler: they activate an area, the space responds, and the story continues.
“One of the main achievements of the FLO·W Experience is that the technological complexity remains hidden from the visitor.” — Sergio Soriano, AV Sales Director, nsign Managed Solutions
It’s the same idea that guides everything we do: simplifying complexity. Orchestrating multiple systems from a single platform so that brands can focus on their customers’ experience.
Today, FLO·W is a sales and recommendation tool for architects, interior designers, distributors, and hospitality projects. It demonstrates that a showroom no longer has to be limited to simply displaying products. It can enable customers to experience a brand’s vision firsthand.
Thank you
Thank you to the Noken team for trusting us with such an ambitious project, and to the entire nsign team that made it possible. Now it’s up to the jury. We’ll let you know the results on November 4.
